Catalpa owns three Mining Leases covering the historic Westonia mining field and a cleared paddock to the North of the mine, which will accommodate tailings storage facilities, evaporation ponds and other infrastructure. These leases cover a total area of approximately 774 hectares that include the current Edna May project. |

The Edna May Project is located in the Eastern Wheat belt of Western Australia, 312 km by road east of Perth and about one kilometre north of the township of Westonia. It lies 12 km north of the standard guage railway and of the Great Eastern Highway, the arterial road joining Perth to Kalgoorlie and the Eastern States.

The project is the only significant mine on the Westonia Greenstone Belt and has produced in excess of 630,000 ounces of gold since mining commenced in 1911.

|
Gold mineralisation is centred on the Edna May Gneiss and its faulted extensions to the West (Greenfinch) and the East (Golden Point).
