History of the Alzada Project |
The area was intensely explored by up to 29 major mining and energy companies during the 1970's and into the early 1980's. Kerr McGee, one of the largest uranium producers during this era, was particularly active in the area and drilled hundreds of widespread reconnaissance holes.
