Cluff owns 100% of the project. Previously, Cluff UK had a right to earn a 60 per cent interest in the Baomahun project in Sierra Leone on the earlier of it incurring exploration expenditure of US$5 million or completing a bankable feasibility study. This right is to be acquired from Winston Mines which owns the two exploration licences relating to Baomahun covering an area of approximately 137km2 |

Location of the Baomahun Project |
The Baomahun deposit is located about 180km east of the capital, Freetown, in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone. The geological setting is similar to Lake Victoria goldfields in Tanzania and a total of 5 zones of mineralization have been identified covering a combined strike length of 3.4 km.

History of the Baomahun Project |
The project was discovered back in 1929 and initially explored and mined for its alluvial gold in the 1930s. The Sierra Leone Geological Survey took over exploration in the 1960s, and ran a drilling programme as well as conducting geochemistry. Winst more...
