Location of the Macusani West Project |
The Macusani West project covers 51,200 hectares. The concessions are situated within the Province of Carabay, Department of Puno, southeastern Peru, and lies within the relatively flat Altiplano of the Eastern Cordillera. Access is by paved road along the highway to Cuzco (approximately 65 km from Juliaca), and then by all-season gravel road to the town of Macusani (approximately 135 km).

History of the Macusani West Project |
Solex staked the Macusani West project after Dr. Alan Clark, professor emeritus of Queen's University who has studied the Macusani region for the last three decades, noted that there were pronounced geological similarities between the claims seen on Macusani West and those that were previously explored on the Macusani East claims. Solex is the first company to explore the property.
