What would be the advantages of having my Silver & Gold IRA in Canada?
Canada has no historical precendent of nationalizing gold or silver within its borders.
In his recent State of The Union address, President Barrack Obama introduced the new MyRA Program. Many U.S. citizens believe the new MyRA Program is an incremental step towards the U.S. goverment's nationalization of citizen's private pensions, individual retirement accounts, and 401ks.
Some believe that having their physical Silver & Gold IRA outside of the U.S.A. is more prudent than having it within the country's jurisdiction.

IRA account holders can always choose to pay early distribution and withdrawal liquidation fees in order to physically take possession of the metals within an IRA.
In other words, if there is potential legislation for the nationalization of U.S. citizen's retirement accounts, you could take action ahead of time ensuring that you keep your silver and or gold IRA metals if you so choose.
Are there any taxes on bullion shipped into Canada?
There are no taxes on .999 fine bullion products shipped into Canada. There is a tax on 22k gold products like the Gold American Eagle coins consequently we only ship .999 fine gold products to Canada.
Can Canadians take advantage of this new service with an RRSP?
No, unfortunately at the moment we do not service canadian RRSPs.
