August 18, 2008 EXPLORATION UPDATE LADNER, B.C.
SNL ENTERPRISES LTD. ("SNL", the "Company") is pleased to
provide the following up-date in regards to its summer 2008 exploration
activities:
Logan
Copper: Additional tenures acquired
Since our news release dated May 23, 2008 (available on www.Sedar.com), the
Company has expanded its Logan Copper property through the acquisition of an
additional 27 mineral tenures totaling 11,790 hectares. These tenures were
acquired for cash purchase totaling $23,857. The Companys total Logan Copper
property now consists of 89 mineral tenures (of which 86 are contiguous),
totaling 40,776 hectares. These were acquired for total cash consideration of
$73,857. These acquisitions give SNL one of the largest blocks of exploration
acreage in the region, providing a portfolio of exploration targets. SNLs
exploration efforts for the current season will primarily be focused on the
western flank of the property, as this portion of the property is underlain by the
regionally-significant Guichon Batholith which hosts the nearby world-class
Highland Valley porphyry copper deposits 12 km north-east of the Logan Copper
property boundary. The remainder of the contact zone is
underlain by Nicola volcanics. Historical regional bedrock mapping indicates
that there is approximately 14 linear kilometres of Guichon Batholith contact
zone trending north-south across the western portion of our property. The
contact zone provides a geologically favourable area for the location of a
Craigmont-type mineral deposit.
Logan Copper: Work program update
The Companys work program on the Logan Copper property is
on-going. To date, the Company has completed MMI (Mobile Metal Ion) surveys
totaling 2,590 samples. SNL has also undertaken preliminary prospecting and
field sampling, with an additional 42 soil and 150 whole rock samples retrieved
for 32-element ICP geochemical analysis. Sampling has primarily targeted areas
historically-reported to host co-incident geophysical and geochemical
anomalies. This work has supported the historically reported mineralization of
certain targeted areas: the 114 whole rock samples returned to-date have
included one grab sample reporting >10,000 ppm copper, and a second grab
sample reporting 1500+ ppm copper. The Company is continuing with the
integration of available historical data, and will continue prospecting and
sampling in areas where historical reports indicate possible geochemical and
geophysical anomalies. The Company has not yet received the results of its MMI
surveys. Soil and whole rock ICP analysis was conducted by Pioneer Laboratories
Inc., of Richmond B.C., and was conducted by contract staff under the
supervision of our Qualified Person, Mr. Laurence Sookochoff, P.Eng.
Logan Copper: Drilling to commence in September
SNL has entered into an agreement to conduct a diamond drill
program of up to 7,000 metres on the Logan Copper property, commencing in early
September, 2008. Permitting for this proposed program has been completed. The
drilling will initially target areas of historically reported geophysical
anomalies that correlate with historically reported mineralization. Our
on-going integration of past data has opened up a considerable inventory of
drill targets, defined as areas hosting coincident historic geophysical and
geochemical anomalies of appropriate magnitude. Included in our initial drill
targets are two zones where multiple zones of copper mineralization have been
reported from historical percussion drilling programs, and a third zone
believed to have hosted small scale copper and silver production in the 1940s
(MINFILE No 092ISE012). SNL is awaiting MMI results on our proposed drill
targets, which will supplement the historical data available. This press
release has been approved by our qualified person, Mr. Laurence Sookochoff
P.Eng, who is the senior geologist and project manager of the Logan Copper
property. Mr. Sookochoff is a Qualified Person as defined by National
Instrument 43-101. Historically reported results have not been verified by the
Company, and are not National Instrument 43-101 compliant. The reader is
cautioned that historical data may not be relied upon.
Keystone property: Prospecting and sampling to commence in
September
The Company is currently planning an approximately $80,000
work program comprising orientation prospecting and stream sampling on the 100%
owned Campbell Ridge and Boundary Range claim groups, forming part of our
Keystone property (please see our News Release dated 25 March 2008 available on
www.Sedar.com). This work is expected to commence in September, 2008.
Note on forward looking statements This press release contains
"forward-looking statements which involve, and are subject to, known and
unknown risks, delays, and uncertainties not under the Companys control. These
known and unknown risks, delays and uncertainties may cause actual results,
performance or achievements of the Company to be materially different from the
results, performance or expectation implied by these forward looking
statements. In particular, the Companys future drilling and exploration plans
set forth herein are subject to receipt of sufficient financing and adequate
working capital, which cannot be assured.
