The VP Exploration for MAX, Clancy J. Wendt, P.Geo, has more than 34 years experience in the mining industry, much of which has been spent in the uranium sector, and is very familiar with Arizona, where he is a Licensed Geologist. He has been systematically examining prospective uranium properties for MAX throughout the desert states of the American Southwest. Most of them have not lived up to his exacting standards. NUSTAR is different.

The local geology at NUSTAR is certainly favourable with known uranium occurrences on the highly prospective Arizona Strip. This trend includes past producing uranium mines and companies like Denison Mines are now re-exploring there. Before uranium exploration ceased in the USA in the mid 1980s, other companies were active in the area, including: Energy Fuels, Pathfinder Mines, Western Mines (a division of Phelps Dodge), Uranerz, and others. The NUSTAR project area is located about 8-10 miles from Denison�s newly acquired EZ pipes and about 20 miles from the Hacks Canyon Mines. Thanks to Clancy Wendt, MAX has added another exciting uranium project to its portfolio.
