Frontera Copper Announces the Election of Norman Hardie to the
Board of Directors

Toronto, ON - November 9, 2007 - Frontera Copper Corporation (FCC: TSX,
FCC.NT, FCC. NT.A: TSX) is pleased to announce the election of Mr.
Norman Hardie to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Hardie is a business consultant with over 33 years experience as a
mining company manager and executive and is currently a director of
TEAL Exploration and Mining Incorporated. Since 1997, he has served on
the boards of several companies including Pangea Goldfields, Moydow
Mines International, Tan Range Exploration, Crew Development, Fronteer
Development and Anatolia Minerals Development. From 1996 to 1999, Mr.
Hardie served as Group General Manager responsible for North America of
Normandy Mining Limited, and subsequently as a consultant to that
company. Between 1987 and 1996, he was Vice President of Inmet Mining
Corporation, coordinating marketing and operations of several mining
projects. Prior to that, Mr. Hardie served as an executive and a
manager at Philipp Brothers Inc., a commodity and metals trading
company, and at subsidiaries of the Anglo American Corporation. Mr.
Hardie has a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the
University of Witswatersrand, South Africa and a Master of Economics
from Cambridge University.

Frontera Copper is a Canadian mining, development and exploration
company whose principle activity is the production of copper cathode
from the Piedras Verdes run-of-mine heap-leach copper operation in
Sonora, Mexico. Production commenced in October, 2006 and at the full
annual production rate of 70 million pounds of copper cathode, a total
of 942 million pounds of copper is projected to be produced during the
18-year life of the operation. Existing resources and prospective
exploration targets adjacent to the main open-pit have the potential to
extend the life of the project.
