Donations to Share the Warmth are distributed by partner agencies and are used to pay energy bills regardless of the energy source used in the home, including natural gas, propane, oil and electricity. Funds stay in the communities where they are collected.

Customers can participate by signing up for Share the Warmth Round Up program, which authorizes to round up a customer's monthly bill to the nearest dollar with the difference going to Share the Warmth. During the course of a year, the customer would pay no more than into the fund.
