Gold Potential to be Drill Tested at Sedex?s Flint Lake Property
Sedex Mining Corp. (TSX.V: SDN) is pleased to announce the commencement of a four-hole 800 m diamond drill program on the Flint Lake gold property near Sioux Narrows, Ontario.
The Flint Lake property lies along the same Pipestone Fault system that hosts Nuinsco?s Cameron Lake Mine and Houston Lake Mining?s Dubenski property. The Cameron Lake mine is 2 km to the southeast and hosts a 43-101 compliant measured and indicated gold resource of 120,300 ounces. The Dubenski property abuts the Flint Lake property to the west and recently yielded drill results as high as 256.94 g/t gold over three metres. Gold mineralization for both properties occurs within quartz-sericite-pyrite schists along east-west structural splays off the Cameron-Pipestone Fault. The Flint Lake shear hosting the Dubenski gold showing potentially strikes across the Flint Lake property.
The Flint Lake Property is dominated by gabbroic sills interspersed between east-west trending low lying swampy terrain. Drill targets on the property consist of coincident Mobile Metal Ion (MMI) gold soil anomalies, Induced Potential (IP) anomalies, and historic gold in traditional ?C? horizon soils. These targets are on strike with the gold bearing Dubenski shear and the Cameron Lake gold mine.
Andrew Tims is the qualified person for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 for the Company's Flint Lake Property and has reviewed the contents of this press release.
