Cassidy Gold Corp. (CDY:TSX-V) is pleased to announce results from reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling on its 100%-owned Kouroussa Gold Project, located in Guinea, West Africa. Step-out drilling at Kinkine included 15 RC holes totalling 2,090.7 metres. Ten RC holes were re-entered with diamond drilling equipment and continued to depth for a total of 788.1 metres.
Highlights include 22.60 g/t Au over 4.0 metres in KRC1299, 3.67 g/t Au over 8.0 metres in KRC1169, and 1.51 g/t Au over 17.0 metres in KRC1308. True widths are undetermined pending a complete interpretation.
RC Drillholes
Nine RC holes (KRC1141-1143, KRC1165-1168, and KRC1298-1299) were collared outside the eastern margin of the Kinkine deposit and were successful in extending mineralization to the east (see Table 1). Five RC holes (KRC1296-1297 and KRC1306-1308) were successful in extending mineralization downdip to the west. KRC1169 was drilled in the north-central portion of the deposit primarily as a diamond drill precollar.
All nine holes east of the deposit intersected significant gold, apparently trending to the east. KRC1299 intersected 22.60 g/t Au over 4.0 metres 100 metres east of the resource model. Similarly, KRC1298 intersected 2.38 g/t Au over 9.0 metres 70 metres east of the model. On the same section, KRC1143 intersected 3.31 g/t Au over 8.0 metres and 0.93 g/t Au over 19.0 metres up to 25 metres east of the model. Numerous other intersections along the eastern margin will extend the resource at least 50 metres to the east (see Table 1).

On the west side of Kinkine, KRC1308 intersected 1.52 g/t Au over 17.0 metres on the downdip extension of a known lode. Several other intersections also extend mineralization to the west including 2.61 g/t Au over 4.0 metres in KRC1296 and 1.07 g/t Au over 6.0 metres in KRC1297.
Diamond Drillholes
A series of RC precollars were deepened with diamond drilling to test additional stacked lodes between 120 and 200 metres depth. All holes were successful in locating deeper mineralization hosted in the Kinkine gabbro. On the east side, KRC1141 intersected 1.17 g/t Au over 5.0 metres from 201.0 metres downhole. KRC1143 hit a zone grading 1.51 g/t Au over 10.0 metres near where KRC1169 intersected 4.67 g/t Au over 3.0 metres and 3.67 g/t Au over 8.0 metres between 196.0 and 222.0 metres downhole. To the south KRC1168 intersected 2.42 g/t Au over 8.0 metres at 167.0 metres downhole.

Latest drilling continues to extend mineralization below and to the east of the current resource. An updated location map will be posted on www.cassidygold.com shortly.
The Kinkine Zone, located four kilometres north of Cassidy's Sanu Filanan deposit, consists of near-surface, potentially open-pittable, mainly oxide mineralization, outlined over an area 375 metres by 300 metres. In September 2006, RSG Global Consulting estimated an indicated resource of 89,000 ounces of gold in 1,486,000 tonnes grading 1.9 g/t Au and an additional 35,000 ounces of inferred ounces in 722,000 tonnes grading 1.5 g/t Au. An independent technical report describing the resource study is posted at www.sedar.com.
Exploration Program
A series of five diamond drill holes on existing RC precollars and one RC hole with a diamond tail are planned to test mineralization to a vertical depth of around 200 metres. Meanwhile, RC drilling continues along the Sanu Filanan and Sanu Filanan Extension as part of final stages of the current phase of resource drilling.
Sampling and Assay Procedures
RC drill samples were collected from the cyclone and split using a 1 in 8 riffle splitter down to approximately 2.5kg in size. All samples were sent to the SGS analytical laboratory in Siguiri, Guinea for further sample preparation and fire assay using a 50-gram sub sample. Along with SGS internal quality control procedures, external field duplicates, blanks and certified standards are undertaken over 5% of all sampling. Quality control/quality assurance is closely monitored by RSG Global personnel.
Personnel
Senior Geologist Brad Ackroyd of RSG Global Consulting heads the exploration team in Guinea. Christopher J. Wild, P.Eng, VP Exploration for Cassidy Gold Corp, is the Qualified Person for this release.
