News Release - Thursday, February 17, 2011 Phase 1 Drill Program Commences at Caldera Gold Project, Mexico
Windstorm Resources Inc. (TSX-V: WSR, "Windstorm" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that a minimum 3,000 m core drilling program is now underway on its Caldera gold project located in Puebla State, Mexico, 10 km from Almaden Minerals Ltd.'s (TSX-V: AMM, "Almaden") new Ixtaca Zone discovery on its Tuligtic property. Please refer to the Caldera Project Map for the property location.

The road accessible Caldera project was discovered by Almaden in 2007 and lies at the eastern end of the Trans Mexican Volcanic Belt. The property covers an 8km by 2km zone of intense acid sulphate alteration, including zones of massive to vuggy silica, quartz-alunite and kaolinite that appears to represent the very top levels of a well-preserved high sulphidation epithermal precious metal system. Exploration tools utilized to date include geological mapping, rock chip sampling, soil geochemical sampling and IP (Induced Polarization) geophysical surveys. The target at Caldera is a bulk tonnage gold deposit where mineralization is anticipated to most likely occur in association with zones of silica enrichment, which are electrically resistive, and disseminated sulphide mineralization, which typically produces an IP chargeability anomaly. Anomalously enriched values of gold and related pathfinder elements (arsenic -- As, bismuth -- Bi and antimony -- Sb) detected in surface rock and soil samples may be a reflection of more concentrated precious metals mineralization at depth. Three high priority target areas have been selected for testing in the Phase 1 drill program.
Pedernales Zone: The main focus of the drill program will test Pedernales, where the strongest gold soil anomaly encountered on the property to date occurs surrounding a zone of strong silicification. Within the soil anomaly, Au values range from 2 to 390 ppb (parts per billion), As ranges from 3.5 to 225 ppm (parts per million), Bi from .2 to 15.5 ppm and Sb from .3 to 246 ppm. The soil anomaly is underlain by a resistivity anomaly, portions of which correlate with the observed silica-enriched outcrop. A chargeability anomaly partially coincides with and partially underlies the high resistivity zone. The chargeability/resistivity anomaly is approximately 1,000 m wide and 1,200 m long and is open to the north.
Timimilco Zone: The Company will also drill test the Timimilco Zone, targeting near-surface zones of anomalous resistivity that correlate with extensive outcrop areas of strong silicification. The drill holes will specifically target silicified areas with associated anomalous soil geochemistry (Au -- 1 to 16.7 ppb, As - 3.5 to 67.6 ppm, Bi - .55 to 6.36 ppm, Sb - .1 to 2.73 ppm).
La Caada Zone: At the western end of the Caada Zone, ridge-forming silica outcrops with associated anomalous soil geochemical values (Au -- 1 to 14 ppb, As - .9 to 19 ppm, Bi - .1 to 1.93 ppm, Sb - .14 to .59 ppm) are underlain by zones of anomalous resistivity and, at greater depth, anomalous chargeability. The eastern end of the zone, at lower elevations, is blanketed by younger volcanic cover and, as a result, is defined only by its geophysical signature. It is characterized by a broad zone of anomalous chargeability, up to 1,000 m wide, open to both the north and south, and with local zones of high resistivity.

Windstorm has the right to earn up to a 60% interest in the Caldera project from Almaden by issuing 1,000,000 shares and completing $5,000,000 in exploration work over six years. Of the work requirement, $150,000 is a firm commitment to be spent in the first year of the agreement.
