September 10, 2009 - Halifax, NS � Linear Metals Corporation (TSX: LRM) is pleased to announce the results of further compilation of historical diamond drill results on its 100 % owned, road accessible, Seymour Lake Lithium/Tantalum/Beryllium Property, located to the north of Lake Nipigon, near Armstrong, in north-western Ontario. The project has been reactivated in response to rising prices for elements such as lithium and tantalum.
As described in press releases dated August 25, 2009, and September 2, 2009, the 2002 drill program at Seymour Lake, although primarily targeting tantalum, intersected significant zones of lithium mineralization. Additional review of the assay results now indicate that there are also significant zones of beryllium mineralization (>0.1% BeO) at both the North and South Aubry Zones, highlighted in the North Aubry Zone by very high grades intersected in SL02-15 with 0.70 metres of 1.052% BeO (followed by nearly a metre of lost core), as well as excellent grades in SL02-28 with 4.25 metres of 0.272% BeO, 5.20 metres of 0.192% BeO in SL02-29, and 3.82 metres of 0.105% BeO in SL02-31, all at or very close to surface (see table below). This zone of beryllium mineralization correlates well with a zone of strong tantalum mineralization (see table below), over an area of approximately 150 metres in length by 20 to 50 metres in width, and is open to the southwest (please see maps on website). Furthermore, strong beryllium mineralization in SL02-10 indicates that the newly identified Deep Horizon pegmatite also has the potential to develop into an excellent secondary beryllium target.
At the South Aubry Zone, all drill holes, except SL02-25, intersected highly elevated beryllium values of approximately 0.1% BeO or better, highlighted by SL02-18 with 6.55 metres of 0.092% BeO (Main Horizon), and 2.0 metres of 0.141% BeO in SL02-20 (Lower Horizon), as detailed in the table below. As SL02-18 is located at the north end of the drill fence, this potential beryllium zone is open to the north, east and south east.

Tantalum results from the 2002 drill program have been previously released and are available on the Company�s website (www.lineargoldcorp.com), but it is now recognized that the high grade tantalum intersections from the North Aubry Zone form a discrete zone along with the high grade beryllium zone, of roughly the same areal extent, and in the same or immediately flanking pegmatite intervals, as shown in the table below:

Although the assays from the 2002 drill program indicate significant bulk enrichment of both cesium (best interval of 0.585% Cs2O over 0.84 metres in SL02-04) and rubidium (best interval of 0.75% Rb2O over 3.9 metres in SL02-31), as yet no discrete high grade zones have been intersected.
The 2002 drill results indicate there are open, sizeable, high-grade lithium-tantalum-beryllium zones at both the North Aubry and South Aubry occurrences. Furthermore, there remains excellent untested potential for additional pegmatites, both stacked at depth, and along strike and down dip. The Seymour Lake property remains highly prospective for further discoveries and a detailed exploration program, including drilling, is being planned for this fall.

Analyses for lithium, beryllium, tantalum, cesium and rubidium were carried out on split or sawed half core at the XRAL Laboratory, in Mississauga, Ontario, using the ICP90 technique which has a 10 ppm detection limit. Standard QA/QC techniques were utilized to confirm results at the time the programs took place.
