Sherritt International Corporation ("Sherritt" or the "Corporation") (TSX: S) confirmed today a strike action by some employees at the Ambatovy plant near Toamasina, Madagascar.
The strike follows a short strike at the Ambatovy mine last month and the Corporation is optimistic for another prompt resolution.
Sherritt is committed to working cooperatively with employee representatives and government officials to review any grievances and resolve this dispute quickly.
The plant continues to operate with no significant impact to production. The strike is not expected to affect Sherritt's 2015 production guidance. Sherritt will provide updates on any material developments.
