MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - June 22, 2011) - DIOS EXPLORATION (News - Market indicators) started last week a polymetallic field program on its wholly-owned silver-rare earth HOTISH PROPERTY.
Several research results suggest a strong potential for Iron Oxide Copper Gold (silver) deposits on the HOTISH PROPERTY, also called IOCG deposits, such as:
The location of the property and the main target at the contacts between three geological sub-provinces and/or provinces, including one of Proterozoic age.
The occurrences of diversified polymetallic showings, such as copper, silver, lead, (gold), zinc, molybdenite, rare earths, uranium, thorium, etc.
Amphibolite altered rocks had returned up 0.169 uranium oxide, 182 grams per ton silver and 1.9 % copper and 112 ppb gold (1-2% pyrite and traces of chalcopyrite-malachite). Galena (lead mineral) was observed in some boulder.
On the BUTTE zone a 10.9 meter drill interval had returned 13.7g/t silver; 1.20% lead; 0.60% zinc within a 60 meters-wide zone with 3-10% disseminated sulfides within paragneiss that yielded 5.2g/t Ag; 0.26% Pb; 0.19% Zn, on a spectrometric anomaly.
The occurrence of a several kilometre size magnetic anomaly coincidental with a several kilometre size potassium anomaly (suggesting hydrothermal alteration).
The occurrence of alkaline rocks and mantle rocks on the property (kimberlites peridotites. The occurrence of deep intra-crustal Proterozoic structures and the occurrence of associated granitic intrusives.
The potassic magnetic target is associated with a NE-SW lead-cerium-yttrium glacial dispersal train (a 8 km by 2 km lake sediment anomaly).
On B-1, a five meter outcrop had returned up to 14g/t silver,0.45% lead, 0.787% uranium oxides; 0.36% rare earth elements; 0.1% yttrium, 1.5% zirconium,
The Otish winter road and planned all weather road in the scope of the Quebec Government Plan Nord will give road access to the area.
