ESO Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: ESO), (the �Company� or �ESO�) is carrying out a portable rock drill sampling programme of a large area of outcrop on the Marietta property in Nevada. The sampling will recover rock samples to depths of up to 3 meters to obtain an initial evaluation of the bulk grade potential of uranium in the intrusive rocks hosting multiple veins and veinlets, some of which carry uranium, copper, and silver mineralization. The Marietta property lies South of Hawthorne Nevada, West of the Mono Lake Crater in California, and totals approximately 2,400 acres (970 hectares) in West Central Nevada, near Mina.

Surface rock sampling conducted by ESO in 2008 in and around historical workings returned the following rock sample geochemistry:

Further work done in 2008 by ESO included a radiometric and radon survey comprising over 500 sample locations.  Anomalous radon flux values reached up to 19 pCi/l/cu.m./sec compared to a background of 1-2 pCi/l/cu.m./sec. Anomalous radiometric values were recorded up to 611 cps (total counts) on surface sample sites using an Exploranium GR-110 scintillometer. The scintillometer readings were off-scale (>9999 cps) in historical adits and workings on the property.

ESO�s work program will focus on investigating areas of mineralization around historical workings.

The Marietta property was first mined for polymetallic ores in the late 1800's. Shear structures up to a few meters in width carrying bornite and oxide copper were the principal source of ore mined. After World War II it was discovered that these high grade ores carried uranium values and were hosted in a radioactive granitic intrusive.
