Rimfire to Commence Quesnel Trough Airborne Geophysical Survey

Vancouver, BC -- November 14, 2007: David Caulfield, President and CEO
of Rimfire Minerals Corporation ("Rimfire") is pleased to report a crew
has been mobilized to start a detailed airborne magnetics survey on
recently acquired tenure in the Quesnel Trough region of north-central
British Columbia. Rimfire will integrate this data with electromagnetic
and gravity data collected through Geoscience BC's $5.75 million QUEST
survey to focus exploration for copper-gold deposits in 2008.
To date, Rimfire has acquired seven properties (approximately 330
square kilometres) located south of Prince George to northeast of Fort
St. James, BC. This portion of the Quesnel Trough is largely covered by
glacial overburden, but is prospective for porphyry copper-gold
deposits similar to Mt. Polley, Mt. Milligan, and Serengeti Resources'
new Kwanika copper-gold discovery. Other explorers that have acquired
large land positions in the region include Xstrata Copper, NovaGold
Resources Inc., Fjordland Minerals, Serengeti Resources, Geoinformatics
Exploration and Peak Geological.
The survey will be conducted by McPhar Geosurveys Ltd. of Markham,
Ontario, flying approximately 2000 line-kilometres on 200 metre line
spacings.
2007 Overview
Rimfire has made significant additions to its portfolio of properties
in 2007 with exploration conducted on 12 separate projects, including
five drilling programs. Pending drilling results include the Wernecke
Breccia, Tide, and Goodpaster District projects, while drilling at the
Jake Property will start in mid-November. Our joint venture business
model also continues to increase shareholder value with $10 million in
exploration expenditures this year, 85% of which is funded by our
partners.
