Employees of PetroChina Pipeline Company (a Chinese state-owned energy utility) paid a visit to Transneft East, LLC with the aim to share experience in operation of the oil pipeline infrastructure facilities.

When attending the regional control center at the executive office of Transneft East, LLC the Chinese professionals looked at the centralized system for collection and processing of data on each facility in the Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil pipeline at the common hub. The underlying system that served as a basis for the ESPO oil pipeline control was fully manufactured in Russia.

At the working meeting the Chinese specialists were displayed the employed technologies and made familiar with the company's arrangements in the field of industrial safety. Besides, the parties agreed to develop additional cooperation formats for ensuring safe operation of the Skovorodino-Mohe oil pipeline's underwater crossing via the Amur river.

The guests were impressed by training experience of the emergency operation staff on the Russian side. The parties noted a need for elaborating the common approach towards dedicated training of the oil transportation industry employees and towards the general interaction in the context of potential emergencies. The Chinese experts also highly praised the experience of their Russian counterparts in monitoring condition of the oil trunk pipeline linear section.

In the follow-up of the meeting the parties formulated proposals on potential cooperation in the field of industrial safety, repairing and maintaining hi-tech equipment and dedicated training of professionals. In reply to the respective question of the PetroChina's delegation, the Russian side announced it had the capability to assist in practical training for Chinese employees at the Dzhalinda acceptance and delivery site, a subdivision of Transneft East, LLC.

On day 2, PetroChina professionals attended some of facilities of Transneft East, LLC: PS-4 Rechushka, an Angara underwater crossing of the ESPO oil trunk pipeline, a production support base, and a central maintenance department.
