The Brand New Normal
?welcome to the world of Fringe Science Economy

During the last few years the process of sifting through new normal economic data has been, and remains a daunting task. But then again, the truth is not for all men, but only for those who seek it. For the sheeple who only glance at the less than candid headlines, there can be no hope.  Only confusion can result as they enjoy the soothing mainstream massage and placidly chow down on the fudge and malarkey of what can only be described as Fringe Economic Theory. And that works in some measure until they venture into the real world and discover the incessant prattle of an organic recovery is completely without foundation.

In what universe does a collusion of international currency debasement and out-of-control debt create economic prosperity recovery? On what alternate Earth does the mightiest stock market (NYSE) hold its collective breath whenever a certain central banker even thinks about trundling toward the camera? Who in their right mind pops the champagne in celebration with The Steet when the beleaguered little banker persistently holds off good ideas and embraces (at best) questionable ones?  On what planet does it make any sense for the Federal Reserve to champion the monthly printing of $85 billion ?and then instead of deploying that obscene amount of air-backed fiat, opts instead to practice neo-primitive hawala with a very chosen few?  Or how about a world inhabited with reputedly intelligent beings falling for the contrived pitch that the price of a valuable commodity (gold), is not the price of a valuable commodity?  Good questions all, but couple that with a severely dented national leader, once known for his poise and eloquence, shrieking ?there?s no there, there?, and you will forgive me for feeling I woke up one morning in an alternate universe! More
