Didn't we just go through this with the US market?

Perhaps we can assume that the CTFC is making sure it has someone else to blame. A modest, but somewhat clever way to move into CYA mode. Our market would have survived, but they started it.

London versus NYC. Similar market rules, but just enough different to assign blame.

Début de l'article :It seems that America's Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is discussing internally the possibility that gold and silver is being manipulated at the London fixings, according to The Wall Street Journal. It seems that CTFC officials have concluded that if Libor can be rigged, so can gold and silver at the London fixes. Whether or not they get anywhere with this line of enquiry, only time will tell.
