"Greed is good. "

Finally you are starting to understand. It is greed that makes survival possible. Those organisms that attempt to get by on just enough fail to grasp that just enough isn't always available. Ergo the organism loses weight until it loses it's life.

Your existence, as well as everyone else's, is because greed was the mantra for survival. Gorge yourself when you can because the hungry time always comes; usually sooner than later. Why do you think voluptuous women were considered the most desirable until Twiggy hit the mass media?

So after countless millenia, we are supposed to put greed away and play nice? That's BS. We are the way we are because in nature, greed works and all else doesn't.

Now in the case of Cyprus, and coming to a country near you, the problem is a perceived contractual obligation nullified. The people believe deposits are demand deposits rather than loans to the bank. Enter government that plays the game of all parties must share the famine just as they shared the wealth.

Was the first choice Cyprus voted on correct? Nope. It was knee-jerk attempted theft to protect government. There is no government greater than its individual people. Shared economic famine is shared economic death. Plus it is damn foolish to think the supposed foreign funds are just sitting in the corner in the vault doing nothing.

If you recall, part of the problem with the bail-out was Russian tax avoidance depositors. Here is the new paradigm: We (EU countries) will cooperate to maximize every country's tax revenue stream. We will stamp out tax havens. This is what the Cyprus sanction is about.

So quit playing the spoiled socialist. Natural systems are capitalistic. Cooperation exists because it lends an advantage. Individualism exists because it permits maximum flexibility in the face of adversity. Try to game mother nature and you'll get the bat shoved ... .
