America's Ruling Troika

I believe it was developed by design in this sense. Collectivist intellectuals, beginning with Karl Marx and Auguste Comte in the 19th century, formulated an ideology of massive statism between 1850 and 1913. By the 1930s, almost all intellectuals in the university systems of America and Europe had come under the sway of Marx, Comte, Hegel, Rousseau, et al, and were teaching that capitalism is an evil, exploitative, racist, war mongering system. Consequently some form of collectivist world government was needed to correct the danger of capitalist nations. World government, in the intellectuals' minds, was the answer. And unfortunately it still is. So yes, the movement toward world enslavement is by design. But it is not a "secretive conspiracy" sort of thing. It is openly taught in the schools.

As for issues like abortion, gun control, and gay-marriage, these are all long range results of the "collectivist mindset" fomented by Marx and Comte. Gun control, of course, is the tool of all dictatorships. Abortion is a result of the breakdown of the Judeo-Christian ethos in the West. And gay-marriage is the result of gays seeking to use court dictates to gain in life rather than persuasion and popular approval.
