>Could Cuba’s Past Be Your Future? - Jeff Thomas - Casey Reseach
I saw some statistics awhile back.
65% of Americans had never been beyond their city limits.
35% had never been across the state line.

I would tend to think that the figures for those who have visited a foreign country is less than about 10-12% of the populace. This is probably close to balanced between business and recreation.

I think the numbers that would even consider a 2nd passport to be less than 5-10K total.
The vast majority is content to join the rest in the stainless steel, wood-fired hot-tub.
A few million (probably less than 10) will find and buy a place in the country that is off the beaten path.
Should be easy enough to find an acceptable small country estate. Most of the current owners/tenants will be moving to the city.
The major cities will be at the end of the distribution network. The country folk will have to fend for themselves. It will be a cost-containment issue.

Those who have exercised their 2nd passport will find themselves in a foreign hot-tub.
None of the countries are in great financial shape and all of them will blame the US for everything. Those of you who believe you will be treated as welcomed tourists will find yourself as the on-site representative of the USA. Hope that works out for you.

Always bet on human nature. Human nature is just animal nature tempered by herd membership. Membership has its rewards. When the herd stampedes, you either join them or get run over. Oh but you are not a member; you are a stranger aka enemy.

Ms. Sánchez has recently been allowed to travel outside of Cuba for the first time, as a result of the elimination of "exit visas." The requirement for exit visas was imposed in 1961 to stop Cubans who opposed the then-new Castro regime from being able to leave Cuba. (Editor's note: The regime in Washington impos... Lire la suite
