Sounds just like a Solyndra replay. Chinese are dumping panels cheaper than we can make them. File anti-trust suits, levy a hefty tariff, basically initiate an anti-trade war and screw the public. After all we, the benevolent and all protective bureaucrats, know what is best for the public.

Far better to have well paying jobs and high-cost consumer goods. These two items are intimately joined at the hips. Oh and these well-paying jobs are absolutely required to maintain a reliable tax base. Don't begrudge their honorable benevolence their daily bread and fantastic benefits package.

Any restriction of commerce is an expansion of war. When goods no longer move across borders, armies do.
