Thanks - this is a very informative and insightful article. One observation however - Although the trend line would take gold to these levels over a ten year span another plausible scenario is that the growing flight from the dollar will force a re-linking of dollars to a weight of gold (e.g. $5000/ounce). Isn't it more likely that at some point over the next ten years, the dollar will once again be anchored to a weight of gold and this will be the point at which gold stops rising as measured by devalued dollars and the dollar returns to stability? Again, very informative and well written article. I appreciate any thoughts regarding a return to the gold standard, which from my perspective seems to be inevitable.
