>Bankers Own the World  - Chris Martenson -
Yah, but ...

Banks are owned by shareholders. That so-called evil big corporation is owned by the same guys that you entrusted to grow your pension plan. Those same owners are the underwriters for your insurance.

And while we're at it, they are on the hook for the bazillion loans extended for your silly purchases, your business that you couldn't start out of your own pocket and your idiot kid's choice to pursue a degree in Medieval Art Appreciation. You co-signed so it is obvious that the nut doesn't fall far from the tree.

Now could we agree on their manipulation of the markets? Sure. Read the previous paragraph one more time. Those evil bankers have the fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders to maximize profits. I like FNBA. For $3/month, I get a checking account. I don't begrudge them that meager earnings they get off of me. I'll even buy the branch manager and CEO a cup of coffee as long as it isn't one of those double expresso grande fruit flavored lattes.

What part of "He who owns the gold, makes the rules" do you fail to understand?

People, by and large, choose debt. Don't whine to me about your damn fool choice to go in debt past your eyeballs.

Now, was the article interesting? Somewhat.
Where did it fail?
Nothing was said about the inter-connectivity which will result in collateral damage due to derivatives melt-down.
It isn't a question of "if" but a question of "when". Keep your BOB handy and your scooter gassed up.
Oh, that's right. You have nowhere to go and no one to welcome you home.

Welcome to my world of hard-core austerity. Been there, done that, still doing it and have the T-shirt.
Oh and I'm an investor in knowledge, skills and the tools to create wealth no matter what happens. Yah, I spend because it is good for me and the economy.
Yah, Medieval Art Appreciation is gonna be in high demand as well as commentators. But I ain't selling commentary.
If the rains keep up, I might have a spare hundred pounds of potatoes to sell. How about 6ozt Ag or 0.1ozt Au? That's roughly $1.20/lb.
He who controls the food controls the world. Blessed be the banker for making it possible.

Début de l'article :In every era, there are certain people and institutions that are held in the highest public regard as they embody the prevailing values of society. Not that long ago, Albert Einstein was a major public figure and was widely revered. Can you name a scientist that commands a similar presence today? Today, some of the most celebrated individuals and institutions are ensconced within the financial industry; in banks, hedge funds, and private equity firms. Which is odd because none of these firms or... Lire la suite
