>Obama's Cream Puff Plan to Reform US Surveillance Program - Mish - Global Economic Analysis
We overlook the big story. Our masters said and did nothing before Snowden blew the whistle on them.

We have the heads of the intel network committing perjury before Congress. Nothing, no penalties.
We have Obama and company willfully breaking the Constitution. Nothing, no penalties.
We have Senators and Representatives defending this UnConstitutional act. Nothing, no penalties.

It would be appropriate for all of us to face Washington DC, get down on our knees and and bow to our masters at least once a day. For they have openly declared that they will do everything to protect us from things that go bump in the night. Now go back to sleep darling, that is just Senator Snort rummaging through our belongings that he and our other masters so graciously allow us to buy with make believe money.

They say everything has to end sometime. It wasn't as if the US Constitution didn't have a fairly good run. But this is always what happens when you grant unproductive people the right to vote. They will always vote for bread, circuses and protection at the expense of those greedy producers.

However I tend to think Obama's cream puff plan will end with him getting the egg yolks destined for the pastry cream all over his face. Surveillance programs are far more reliable when the surveiled isn't aware it is happening and/or to what extent. Hmmm if everyone is a terrorist, then one would logically assume nobody is a terrorist. Perhaps the real story is the government fears the governed. Interesting word, govern. To control. Where was that in the Constitution again?

It's a dog and pony show designed to make people feel better as opposed to any solid measures as to how much data government collects on everyone. Here are excerpts from the above article with my comments interspersed. Independent: President Obama told a packed room of journalists at the White House Friday afternoon that he will work to reform Section 215 of the Patriot Ac... Lire la suite
