Is Gold Money

As quoted from Wiki, anything accepted by all in exchange for goods and services is money. Gold is probably the only substance to be able to claim this position in the entire human history, as it was, is and will be accepted in exchange for goods and services by every single human individual that ever lived, lives and will ever live. Gold appeal is hardwired in human DNA. It has beautiful shiny color (the color of gold), it does not deteriorate, it can be easily stored, processed into beautiful items and as of recently, it was proven to be irreplaceable in engineering applications. Let me remind you what happened when two completely foreign human civilizations met in Latin America, One never came up with the concept of the wheel, while the order wielded firearms. They were both humans - hence they both had one life, two arms, two legs, one head and love of gold. In a natural deal between the two, the price of Emperor's life was set and delivered in gold. Gold may not be money when dealing with extraterrestrial energy-based life forms (although I may be wrong there), but it will always be money when dealing with humans. Every human society passes through phases of temporary madness and disconnect from the real world. For some it is a requirement to kill a person to secure new dawn, for others it's accepting repeated and confirmed liar's word in exchange for your labor. Every society in conflict with the real world eventually staggers, and things are set right again. How exactly this happens is pure technicality.
