Jim C - Americans like you look to government as children do to parents. Such naivete is very dangerous and is bringing death to America. Look on the FBI website, by the way. Even the FBI itself states that there is no credible evidence to link bin Laden to 9/11. That event was never part of his wanted poster. I am not saying he was a good man or that he was not dangerous, but killing people without due process, without evidence is the stuff of tyrants. America has brought death to over 1 million, according to the Lancet, in the last decade in response to the actions of a handful of men, mostly from Saudi Arabia (none from Iraq, Afghanistan or Iran or...). Terrorist attacks of many kinds have plagued many countries. Only the US would abandon democracy and the rule of law and go on a killing rampage through many nations, including its own, in response to such an event. Somehow, people like you just can't get enough of killing. Unfettered killing does not make you more safe. The truth is, such action creates many more dangers for the US and for US citizens. Your belief system is not supported by fact or reason.
