Mr. Charles Ross reports
EXPLORATION UPDATE
Goldex Resources Corporation is
pleased to announce that initial fieldwork, consisting of geologic mapping
and surface sampling, has been completed and assay results received from its
Arco property in Durango, Mexico.
The bulk of the surface outcrop
sampling was completed in June, during the first work period. Since
then, the mapping has progressed outward from the central zone of mineralization
to peripheral areas where only a few veins remain exposed. To date, 354
samples from the project have been delivered to the Inspectorate sample
preparation lab in Durango. Plotting of sample points and vein
structures, as an overlay to the geology map is in progress. Initial
results show gold values of greater than 0.50 g/t tend to group along the
vein structures, suggesting ?ore shoots? that may become drill targets.
Of 354 samples taken from outcrops
during the summer, 41 returned values greater than 1.0 g/t Au, 15 are greater than 2.0
g/t Au, and 2 samples are greater than 5 g/t Au. Also of interest are
40 samples indicating more than 10g/t Ag, 10 samples indicating more than
30g/t Ag and 4 samples indicating more than 40g/t Ag.
Goldex?s Arco project, situated in
Mexico?s precious metals belt, consists of two contiguous concessions which
total 3,383.15 hectares. In 2007, the Penoles La Cienega mine, which
lies approximately 100 km to the west of El Arco, produced approximately 139,000
oz gold, 993,000 oz silver, 8,000 tons lead and 9,500 tons zinc.
Goldex is well funded to carry out
this year?s exploration and drilling programs.
Goldex Resources Corporation is a junior exploration company exploring for gold in the
Americas. Goldex's strategically-focused operations highlight prestigious properties, a
world-class geology team and a global investment
following.
Analytical work for the current
exploration program is being done by Inspectorate Laboratory of America in
Reno, Nevada, an ISO certified lab, and all samples are delivered to the Inspectorate
sample preparation lab in Durango by Goldex geologists.
The qualified person for Goldex is
Richard W. Bybee P.Geo. who is responsible for the verification and quality
assurance of the data set forth in this release.
