Drill Program has commenced on The Maureen
Property (formerly La Suerte Project)

B.C., February 01, 2008
– Galena Capital Corp. (TSXV: FYI) (the “Company”), a Vancouver based
company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange") is
pleased to announce it has commenced its drilling program on the Maureen
Property (formerly the La Suerte Project) South East of Tepic City, Mexico.
Galena has begun its Phase One work program
on the Maureen Project with 7 holes planned totalling approximately 1,500
meters. The company intends to disseminate assay results as relevant data
becomes available (4 to 6 weeks). Today workers are on hole #2; drill core
from hole #1 indicates the vein structure is running 1.3 meters in width. A
simultaneous field program will begin while the preparation for the
continuation of soil sampling is ongoing.

the under review category to title ownership clear communication to

Galena owned project in Mexico will begin with the letter “M”, and
any Galena owned project in Peru will begin with the letter “P”.
