Drill Program has commenced on The Maureen Property (formerly La Suerte Project)
Vancouver, B.C., February 01, 2008 Galena Capital Corp. (TSXV: FYI) (the Company), a Vancouver based company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange") is pleased to announce it has commenced its drilling program on the Maureen Property (formerly the La Suerte Project) South East of Tepic City, Mexico.
Galena has begun its Phase One work program on the Maureen Project with 7 holes planned totalling approximately 1,500 meters. The company intends to disseminate assay results as relevant data becomes available (4 to 6 weeks). Today workers are on hole #2; drill core from hole #1 indicates the vein structure is running 1.3 meters in width. A simultaneous field program will begin while the preparation for the continuation of soil sampling is ongoing.
With numerous projects under review Galenas extensive geological team will provide material updates as we introduce these properties to our shareholders and potential investors states Arni Johannson, the companys Chairman.
As the company moves these properties from the under review category to title ownership clear communication to shareholders is going to be key. With that in mind as of January 22, 2008 any Galena owned project in Mexico will begin with the letter M, and any Galena owned project in Peru will begin with the letter P.
