WASHINGTON (AP) _ Rentech Inc. (RTK) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $37.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Washington-based company said it had a loss of $1.60. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs, were 45 cents per share.
The supplier of wood chips, wood pellets and nitrogen fertilizers posted revenue of $24.7 million in the period.
The company's shares closed at 41 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $2.57.
