Atomic Cancels Plans for Additional Acquisitions in Colorado
April 21, 2008 - Vancouver, B.C.: Atomic Minerals Ltd. (ATL: TSX-V) announces that it will not be proceeding with the acquisition of the mineral claims set out in the letter of intent (the "LOI") entered into on June 12, 2007 with Mayan Minerals Ltd. ("Mayan") and Kee Nez Resources, LLC ("Kee Nez"). "Given the current state of the capital markets for junior uranium companies, and with the high cost of maintaining claims in the State of Colorado, the board of directors of Atomic felt it prudent to focus on the Company's exceptionally promising Tanzanian properties as well as continuing exploration on the Company's significant existing Colorado land package on the Dolores Anticline," said Warren McIntyre, Chief Executive Officer.
Under the terms of the LOI, Mayan and Kee Nez are obligated to repay all funds advanced by Atomic during the term of the LOI for the staking and maintenance of the Claims. The companies are cur
rently negotiating the terms under which this repayment will take place.
