Announces the Appointment of Hugh Snyder as Chairman of the Board

Toronto and Phoenix, AZ - December 1, 2008 - Frontera Copper Corporation (FCC:TSX, FCC.NT:TSX, FCC.NT.A:TSX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Hugh Snyder to the position of Chairman of the Board. Mr. Snyder is a co-founder of the Company and was previously Lead Director. Dr. Patrick Ryan has elected to retire as Chairman but will remain a member of the Board of Directors.
