Progress Update on Mulga
Rock Scoping Study
Energy and
Minerals Australia Limited (ASX: EMA), a Western Australian
focused uranium company, is pleased to provide an update on progress on the
Scoping Study for the Ambassador deposit. Following shareholder approval
at the general meeting of shareholders on 2 September 2009 and completion
of the Placement and Share Purchase Plan transactions, the Company will be
well placed to pursue rapid development of the Ambassador deposit.
Ambassador
is the largest of the Mulga Rock Deposits, 100% owned
by EMA and located approximately 240 kilometres northeast of the regional
city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Recent
progress includes:
▪ the signing of a major
contract for aircore drilling
▪ awarding of the management
contract for the Scoping Study
▪ commencement of metallurgical testwork
▪ updating of flora and fauna
studies
▪ continuation of community
liaison
▪ commencement of preliminary
work on the Scoping Study
▪ negotiation of the contract
for a diamond drilling programme
EMA is
targeting completion of the Scoping Study by mid 2010 and will provide
information to the market as it becomes available.
