HON. JOEL FITZGIBBON MP APPLAUDS ADAMUS RESOURCES DURING PARLIAMENTARY VISIT

Adamus Resources (ASX:ADU) welcomed a delegation from the Australian Parliamentary Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade at the Companys Ghana based, Nzema Gold Project on Wednesday, 13 April 2011. The eight-member delegation led by the Hon. Joel Fitzgibbon MP, highlights Australias growing engagement with Ghana. This visit comes as a part of the Joint Committees inquiry into Australias relations with Africa in areas including bilateral relations, trade and investment, and diplomacy. The delegations visit to Ghana in particular underscores the priority placed by the Australian government on bilateral relationships.

With over 120 Australian owned mining companies with operations in Africa, Adamus was selected due to its impressive operations and collaborative relationship with its stakeholders. Since 2008, Adamus has partnered with the Australian High Commission to train over 160 youth to acquire basic skills in electrical, welding, carpentry, masonry and mechanical skills. This training has provided the fundamental skills to gain employment with several companies in the region including Adamus Resources. Several trainees gathered to express their appreciation during the delegations visit to the newly completed Salman Elementary School.

A key aspect to Adamus operations success has been its commitment to sustainable development in its Ellembele operational area. Part of this commitment involves the acquisition of 250 acres of land located about 1 km east of the existing Salman town for the resettlement of over 2000 people, 452 structures and 49 public buildings including a new police station, health clinic, library, 27 KVIP toilets, and 14 community boreholes with pumps. In addition, significant public infrastructures are being developed including access roads, electrification, and drainage systems in accordance with the district assemblys public planning standards. Currently, construction is ongoing and scheduled to be completed by the second half of 2011.

We saw an operation utilizing the latest in technology including environmental technology and we were impressed about their operations, expressed Hon. Fitzgibbon. Adamus has done very well in Ghana and we were particularly impressed with the way in which the company has ensured that the local community is properly consulted, remains a partner and benefiting from the project. Other delegation members also expressed their strong support of private sector investment for development.

To-date Adamus has invested over US$384,100 into education, water, health, public safety, and skills development as part of its commitment to the people in its operational areas. Education and technical skills development are key cornerstones of the companys corporate social responsibility with an agenda to maximize local capacity.

The tour also included a meeting with the President of the Western Regional House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of the Lower Axim traditional area, Awulae Attibrukusu III and Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli II, Paramount Chief of Eastern Nzema Traditional Area. Also in attendance were MPs from Ellembele, Deputy Minister for Energy, Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, Evalue Gwira, Hon. Catherine Afeku, and DCE Ellembele District, Hon. Daniel Eshun.
