Dear Friends
General market conditions for the past 12 months in the junior resource sector have been quite negative. Junior producers and explorers have been restricted by a lack of funding for upgrades in production and reserve expansion. This is despite continuing demand growth, especially for key commodities, such as energy. Shortages, and some of them critical, will soon be a reality.
It is almost impossible to predict near term market movements, but they do peak and they do bottom. I believe, we are certainly closer to a bottom than a peak. We have witnessed several bubbles in the past couple of decades (dot com, real estate, etc.) and the only bubble that we may be in now is a cash bubble, with all reports indicating a record amount of cash on the side line earning little or no interest.
A wise man once said, A crisis is a terrible thing to waste, and although we are not in a crisis per say, conditions have presented, once again, a real opportunity and the time to act is once again before us.
The opportunity for Saturn Minerals to take advantage of the conditions present has not escaped your management. Our partnership with our First Nation partners gives us what may best be described as a historic opening to wealth creation for our shareholders and partners.
Saturn Minerals and Inowending have recently completed a brief visit to Germany where our venture and vision has considerable support in media and capital. Chief Larry Cachene (Yellow Quill First Nation) and Chief Wallace Fox (Onion Lake Cree Nation) accompanied us on an introductory tour which took us to Frankfurt, Hannover and Berlin, May 8-11. An article from the Hannover press detailing the trip is available here - LINK
Our Inowending Partnership brought a strong message to the German media and capital community that Saskatchewan presents generational resource investment opportunities and an approach which addresses First Nations desire of partnership and ownership is welcome and desired.
As guest at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and presenting our business model at the Conference in Frankfurt we were impressed by the reception that the Chiefs, Saturn Minerals and Inowending received. As an opening of doors and building of bridges the meetings and presentations helped to bring a better understanding for the German media and capital community of the opportunity, and challenges, in resource investment in Saskatchewan.
Our tour included a visit with the Mayor of the fine city of Hannover as well as a luncheon as guests in the German Parliament in Berlin.
The message the Chiefs brought to our hosts was delivered and received exceptionally well.
I hope you enjoy the first media article triggered by our visit; it crystalizes the message, the opportunity and challenge of our partnership.
Kindest regards,
Stan Szary
