Uranium One Announces the Appointment of Colin Blyth, Senior Vice President, Commercial
TORONTO, June 17, 2014 /CNW/ - Uranium One Inc. ("Uranium One" or the "Company") announced the appointment effective today of Colin Blyth as its Senior Vice President, Commercial. Mr. Blyth, who will be based in Toronto, will be responsible for the Company's sales and marketing activities, and succeeds Scott Melbye, who will be leaving the Company to pursue other interests. Scott will remain with Uranium One for a period of time to ensure a successful transition.
Colin Blyth's most recent role was Vice-President, Sales and Marketing at CMC - Coal Marketing Company (USA) Inc., the exclusive marketer of Cerrejon thermal coal from Colombia, where he was responsible for sales and marketing for the largest open pit export coal mining operation in the world. His work experience includes a wide variety of high level sales and marketing positions, with a heavy specialization in the coal, copper, and zinc mining/refining industries. Colin has enjoyed a distinguished international career with strong exposure throughout North and South America and Asia. Colin holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and an MBA from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Concurrently with Mr. Blyth's appointment, the Company also announced that it is relocating its sales and marketing function from Denver, Colorado, to its corporate head office in Toronto.
