 Acquisition of Baralaba Minority Interest 11/04/2014
Cockatoo Coal Limited is pleased to announce it has reached an agreement with JS Baralaba Wonbindi Pty Ltd (JSBW), a subsidiary of JFE Shoji Trade Corporation (JFE), to acquire minoirty shareholdings in Baralaba Coal Pty Ltd and Wonbindi Coal Pty Limited (collectively Baralaba JV). |

The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to further increase production for the Baralaba Expansion Project from the currently approved 1 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to peak production of 3.5mtpa was submitted to the DHEP Queensland in April 2014. Cockatoo Coal and its two major shareholders (Noble Group and SK Networks) and its principle bank (ANZ) are currently in advanced negotiations in respect of the release of up to A$37.0 million of restricted cash, that the Company has provided for infrastructure guarantees. |
