Virginia Energy" or the "
Company") is pleased to welcome Stephen Antony, CEO of Energy Fuels Inc. ("
Energy Fuels"), as a new Director, pending exchange approval. Per the Company's December 28, 2012 news release, Energy Fuels has the right to nominate one Director to the Virginia Energy Board so long as it maintains at least 5% of the issued and outstanding common shares of the Company. Energy Fuels currently owns 16% of Virginia Energy. Mr. Antony will be replacing Graham Moylan, who recently resigned as the CFO and Director of Energy Fuels to join the Cantor Fitzgerald Mining Investment Banking Team.
Walter Coles, Sr., the President and CEO of Virginia Energy commented that, "Steve Antony has a tremendous amount of experience in permitting and operating uranium mining facilities in the United States. His experience and strategic vision will be greatly appreciated on the Board as we continue our mutually beneficial relationship with Energy Fuels."
Mr. Antony has held a series of technical and managerial positions in the mining industry spanning over three decades. He was appointed President and CEO of Energy Fuels Inc. on April 1, 2010. Mr. Antony is a registered professional engineer in a number of states in which Energy Fuels owns and operates uranium projects. He is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Denver.
Mr. Ron Hochstein is also resigning from the Virginia Energy Board of Directors. The Company would like to thank Mr. Moylan and Mr. Hochstein for their dedicated service to the Board. Walter Coles Sr. added that, "Graham and Ron have provided sound leadership and valuable industry insight while serving on our Board. We wish both of them the best in their future endeavors".
