GWR appoints Project Manager, initiates drilling program

VANCOUVER, April 20, 2007 - GWR Resources Inc. (TSX-V: GWQ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Leopold J. Lindinger, P.Geo as Project Manager and Qualified Person of our Lac La Hache project.

Mr. Lindinger, P.Geo. is a professional geoscientist registered with the Association of Professional Geoscientists and Engineers of the Province of British Columbia (APEGBC) with 27 years of post graduate experience in minerals exploration and mining. His experience includes grass roots exploration, advanced project development, resource estimates and mining on many projects throughout North America.

Mr. Lindinger has worked for Golden Bear Operating Co., Newhawk Gold Mines, Princeton Resources Corp., Centennial Minerals Ltd., Kemess Mines Ltd., and Getty Copper Inc. in various capacities including Site Manager and Chief Mine Geologist but mostly as an explorationist.

GWR Resources has also retained the services of a Site Foreman to supervise the construction and reclamation of all roads, drill pads and trenching sites.

A 43-101 compliant facility for storage and processing of core, rock and other samples has been leased.

The 2007 drilling program commenced on March 20, 2007. The first two holes have been completed. These holes were targeted to undercut copper and gold mineralization discovered by trenching late last year and previously reported (Mar. 21, 2007). Hole AZ07-11 undercut trench SH-B which returned 3.64 g/t gold and 0.59% copper over a sampled width of 33 metres. This hole was drilled to the east northeast at -45 degrees to a depth of 497 metres. Hole AZ07-12 undercut Trench SH-A which returned 0.38 g/t gold and 0.27% copper over a sampled width of 85 metres. This hole was drilled due east at a -46 degree dip and to a depth of 410 meters. Both holes have been collar surveyed using a differential GPS and down hole surveyed using a FLEXIT multishot instrument to record three dimensional downhole deviation.

Logging and sample tagging of both holes has been completed. Approximately 60 percent of Hole AZ07-11 has been sampled and send to Ecotech Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in Kamloops for copper and gold assay as well as total digestion multielement analyses.

A third hole, AZ07-13, was collared in the same location as AZ07-12 and will test copper and gold mineralization discovered to the west of the SH-A trench intersection.

Results will be published immediately upon receipt of the assay results.

The information contained in this press release has been reviewed and approved by Mr. Lindinger, P.Geo., GWR's Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
