(TSX VENTURE:OX) ("Orex" or "the Corporation") The Corporation is pleased to announce that the 'One Window' meeting with representatives of the Government of Nova Scotia and Canada, took place in Halifax, Wednesday May 28, 2014. The meeting is the first stage in reviewing, approving and monitoring mineral development projects in the province.
The One Window meeting is designed to provide proponents of new mining projects in the province of Nova Scotia with guidance on the regulatory and consultation process. The function is managed by a Standing Committee that acts as a liaison between the Corporation and those government agencies with authority for regulating responsible mineral development in the Province.
Commenting on this development, Willie McLucas, President and CEO said "In all my years of operating in the mining sector the One Window meeting is one of the most useful exercises that I have participated in. The opportunity to meet with, and exchange views, on relevant topics related to the Goldboro project is unprecedented in my experience and offers a very efficient way of starting the development process.
The management team of Orex is working on filing various applications for approvals and aims to work closely with local consultants, with the objective of obtaining the necessary approvals from the Nova Scotia Government in order to move forwards to production of gold at the Corporation's wholly-owned gold deposit at Goldboro, Nova Scotia."
