WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwired - Jul 14, 2015) - Wildcat Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:WEL) is pleased to announce that, at the annual and special meeting of shareholders held on July 8, 2015, its shareholders passed a special resolution to approve the acquisition of diamond exploration properties in the Pikoo and Fort a la Corne areas of northern Saskatchewan, with approximately 99.72% of the votes cast being in favour of the resolution. The planned acquisition of these properties, together with gold exploration properties in the Flin Flon mining area of Manitoba (see news release May 12, 2015), will focus Wildcat mainly as a diamond and gold exploration company. The acquisition is subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
The shareholders also elected three new directors to the Wildcat board. Harry Barr, Stephen Masson and James Pickell have joined John Knowles, Charles Pitcher and Edward Yarrow as directors of the Company.
Harry Barr has been involved in the mining industry for over 30 years, with an extensive background in mineral exploration, business management, corporate finance, and marketing, and is a director of several public companies.
Stephen Masson, M.Sc., P.Geo., president and CEO of Copper Reef Mining Corporation and a director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, brings strong exploration skills, especially in the Flin Flon Greenstone Belt where he has concentrated his efforts for the past 26 years.
James Pickell, P.Geo., with over 35 years of international exploration and mining experience in North America, Europe, South America and Africa, as well as in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake Greenstone Belt of Manitoba, Canada, is a recipient of the PDAC Bill Dennis Prospector of the Year Award (2000) for the discovery of VMS deposits in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake Greenstone Belt.
The director nominees were presented in the Company's Management Information Circular dated June 9, 2015, and shareholders elected all directors nominated by management. The directors will serve until the next annual general meeting of the Company. Approximately 34% of the outstanding shares of the Company were represented at the meeting and the voting results for the election of directors are set out below:

Following the shareholders' meeting, John Knowles, Glen Gowryluk and Tom Lewis resigned as officers of the Company and Stephen Masson and David Kendall were appointed President and CEO and Chief Financial Officer respectively. Mr. Lewis will assist the Company on a contracted basis as needed for management of the Wildcat-Doe Run Canadian Exploration Alliance.
David Kendall, FCA received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1978 while working with Deloitte and Touche in Saskatoon, SK. He moved to Flin Flon MB in 1983 and received his Fellowship with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba in 1997. Mr. Kendall is in public practice with Kendall & Pandya Chartered Accountants with offices in Flin Flon and Thompson MB. He believes there is a great future for junior mining exploration in northern MB and SK and is proud to be a part of this opportunity.
