TIGER APPOINTS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
Perth, Western Australia: Tiger Resources Limited (ASX: TGS) ("Tiger") is pleased to announce the appointment of Shawn McCormick and Russell Middleton as Non-Executive Directors to its Board, effective from 1 July 2016.
Mr McCormick joins the Board as the nominee of Resource Capital Funds (RCF) as part of the terms of the
$10 million subscription agreement executed in late 2015.
Mr McCormick is the Managing Director of a London-based strategic consulting firm focused on mining and oil & gas sectors in Africa and Latin America. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of Piran Resources, a tin producer in Rwanda, and a Non-Executive Director of Guinea bauxite developer Alufer Mining. His previous roles include Corporate Vice President, International Affairs for TNK-BP in Moscow and Senior Global Affairs Advisor for BP in London. He also served as Director for African Affairs at the National Security Council in The White House in Washington.
Mr Middleton has more than 25 years of experience in mining, construction and mining services. He has extensive experience in the resources industry and held various executive roles across many international jurisdictions. Mr. Middleton is also a Non-Executive Director of Bathurst Resources Ltd (ASX: BRL) and was previously the Chief Financial Officer for Hillgrove Resources Ltd (ASX: HGO).
Tiger Chairman Mark Connelly welcomed the two new appointees to the Board and said "The appointments of Shawn and Russell will add significant experience to our Board and we look forward to drawing on that as we complete the debottlenecking works at our Kipoi Copper Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo and increase our annual production to 32,500 tonnes of copper cathode."
