LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Rentech Inc. (RTK) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $317.5 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Los Angeles-based company said it had net income of $12.80. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, came to $3.42 per share.
The supplier of wood chips, wood pellets and nitrogen fertilizers posted revenue of $31.8 million in the period.
The company's shares closed at $2.57. A year ago, they were trading at $7.20.
