Denver, Colorado - Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. (TSX: TCM) (OTCQX: TCPTF) ('Thompson Creek' or the 'Company') today announced that the Company will hold a special meeting of shareholders on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, to consider and vote on a special resolution in connection with a previously announced plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia) involving the acquisition by Centerra Gold Inc. of all of the outstanding common shares of Thompson Creek (the 'Arrangement'). The special meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Company's offices at 26 W. Dry Creek Circle, Second Floor, Littleton, Colorado. Only Thompson Creek shareholders of record as of the close of business on September 12, 2016 will be entitled to notice of and to vote at the special meeting or at any adjournment or postponement thereof.
Subject to approval by Thompson Creek shareholders, the satisfaction or waiver of the applicable conditions to completion of the Arrangement, and the final order by the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Arrangement is expected to close on or about October 20, 2016.
