OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Troy Resources Limited (ASX: TRY) (Troy or the Company) advises that with effect from 1 January 2017, Mr Scott Atkinson, Site Project Manager at Karouni, will be appointed to the role of Interim General Manager, Operations. Scott will report directly to the Managing Director, Mr Martin Purvis and together they will oversee the operations whilst the Company concludes the process of making a permanent appointment for this role. Mr Purvis will spend a large amount of his time on site during this transition period.
Mr Atkinson is a qualified Mining Engineer with twenty years broad industry experience at companies including Barrick, Oceana Gold and Newmont Australia. He has experience in taking mines from feasibility through to production in remote and challenging environments and building and developing effective and efficient mining teams through training and mentoring.
As previously announced, Executive Director, Mr Ken Nilsson, will move to an oversight role for Troy's broader interests in South America that will also take effect from 1 January 2017. Ken's role will encompass Government relations, new business initiatives and overseeing Troy's remaining interests in Argentina and Brazil.
