Crowflight Announces Mill Commissioning Underway at Bucko;
Intersects 8.10 Metres of 9.01% Nickel

CROWFLIGHT MINERALS INC. (Crowflight, the Company) (TSX Venture
Exchange: CML) is pleased to provide a project update and underground
Diamond drilling results from its wholly-owned Bucko Lake Nickel Mine
(Bucko) located in the Thompson Nickel Belt near Wabowden, Manitoba.
Bucko Project Update
Construction is close to complete at Crowflight's Bucko Lake Mine.
Expectations are to ramp up production during the remainder of 2008 to
declare full commercial production in early 2009. Construction status
is as follows:
.. Mill commissioning has been underway since early September.
.. Ore is currently being mined and stockpiled in preparation for mill
start-up.
.. The crushing plant commissioning is essentially complete and
crushing of ore has commenced.
.. Significant progress has been made on piping in the mill. Remaining
piping should be complete in the next few weeks.
.. The main electrical cables have been pulled in the mill and there
are still some automation control cables to pull. Cable terminations
and energizing of equipment should be complete in the next few weeks.
.. The interim tailings storage facility (ITSF) should be complete by
mid-October.
.. To update on the status of the federal permitting process for the
storage of tailings in Bucko Lake, the screening level assessment
report (the federal government's technical review of the project) was
supposed to be released on September 8, 2008 for public comment but due
to the federal election, this has now been deferred to October 15,
immediately after the federal election. Federal authorities have
indicated to Crowflight that upon completion of the public review,
inclusion of comments from the review, and assuming that no revisions
are required, then the letter of recommendation from federal
authorities to the Governor in Council (Cabinet) recommending that
Cabinet amend Schedule 2 of the Metal Mining Effluent Regulations to
add Bucko Lake as a Tailings Impoundment Area will be sent by early
January 2008. The Schedule 2 amendment process will take eight to 12
months after the letter of recommendation has been received. The ITSF
will be used until federal approval for the use of Bucko Lake is
received.
.. The dry and wet commissioning of the mill will continue through
October. Assuming commissioning goes as planned, Crowflight anticipates
feeding ore through the plant and producing concentrate in the third or
fourth week of October.
Bucko Delineation Drilling Update
Underground delineation drilling at Bucko between sections 517N and
521N has returned encouraging assay results. Hole BUD-39 intersected
8.10 metres grading 9.01% nickel including 4.11 meters of 14.07%
nickel, approximately 30 metres above the main 1,000 foot level. This
mineralization occurs approximately 25 metres south of hole BUD-44
which intersected a 30.17 metre wide interval grading 1.36% nickel
including 6.4 metres grading 2.35% nickel. Both holes, which are
associated with the second planned mining area on the 1,000 foot level
that is expected to be reached in late November, confirm higher grade
nickel mineralization than currently modelled. A number of the drill
holes hit multiple zones of mineralization.
Highlight assays from the most recent delineation program results
include:
.. Hole BUD-12 intersected 18.06 metres grading 1.43% nickel
.. Hole BUD-14 intersected 8.23 metres grading 3.08% nickel
.. Hole BUD-18 intersected 5.21 metres grading 2.12% nickel
.. Hole BUD-19 intersected 13.92 metres grading 2.65% nickel
.. Hole BUD-21 intersected 15.37metres grading 3.01% nickel
.. Hole BUD-29 intersected 11.12 metres grading 1.56% nickel
.. Hole BUD-30 intersected 9.44 metres grading 1.64% nickel
.. Hole BUD-31 intersected 9.77 metres grading 1.76% nickel
.. Hole BUD-34 intersected 9.88 metres grading 2.19% nickel
.. Hole BUD-39 intersected 8.10 metres grading 9.01% nickel
.. Hole BUD-44 intersected 6.40 metres grading 2.35% nickel and 4.37
metres grading 3.54% nickel
.. Hole BUD-50 intersected 4.79 metres grading 3.02% nickel and 3.35%
metres grading 4.09% nickel
.. Hole BUD-64 intersected 9.69 metres grading 2.15% nickel
.. Hole BUD-66 intersected 8.90 metres grading 1.50% nickel
Mike Hoffman, President and CEO of Crowflight, commented "The
Crowflight operating team and the various contractors on site have been
working very hard to complete construction at the Bucko Mine. This will
be a first class facility once complete and we are looking forward to
producing concentrate shortly. The underground drill results at Bucko
are very encouraging as they are confirming, or in some cases
exceeding, our expectations."
Table 1 provides a complete summary of highlight assay intervals from
the 61 assayed holes received to date. Figure 1 depicts a plan view of
the 1,000 foot mining level illustrating the location of current and
planned mining and the location of highlighted drill results.
One underground
Diamond drill operated by Boart Longyear is stationed
on the 1,000 foot level. To date, 71 holes totalling 12,017 metres of
drilling have been completed.

Qualified Person/Quality Control Procedures
This press release has been prepared and reviewed by Mr. Greg Collins,
P.Geo (APGO/APEGM) and VP Exploration of Crowflight and Mr. Paul
Keller, P. Eng. and COO of Crowflight, both of whom are Qualified
Persons under the National Instrument 43-101 guidelines. All assays
were performed at the ALS-Chemex laboratory in Vancouver and undergo an
ICP-AES finish and Sodium Peroxide Fusion. Standards and blanks are
submitted with each sample batch.
