MELBOURNE, Australia, Jan. 29, 2014 /CNW/ - Newcrest Mining Limited (ASX: NCM) announced today that it has appointed Francesca Lee as General Counsel & Company Secretary, effective 31 March 2014.
Ms Lee has been General Counsel & Company Secretary with Melbourne-based gold and copper miner OZ Minerals Limited, and its antecedent companies since October 2003. She has more than 26 years' experience working within the mining industry - including at BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and Comalco - across various legal and commercial roles. She also spent several years as Vice President Structured Finance with Citibank's Melbourne office. Francesca is also a member of the Australian Takeovers Panel.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Greg Robinson, welcomed Ms Lee's appointment.
